Gabby has been training dogs with BFDT (this time around) for about a year and a half...she apprenticed with Frank about 12 years ago for 16 months, and missed us so much that she just had to come back!

We asked Gabby a few questions so that you could get to know her better!

BFDT: Can you tell us a little about your training education?

Gabby: I was an apprentice with Frank about 12 years ago, and started dabbling in dog training doing puppy classes for vet offices and educating their clients on training tips.  I've worked side by side with veterinarians learning about dog behavior, and also do my own research on dog behavior as well as different training techniques.

BFDT: How would you describe how you specifically can help our clients and their dogs?

Gabby: In addition to my training experience, I have worked as a veterinary professional for over 15 years, and I am currently completing my final internship for veterinary technology. Working with dogs from the medical side helps to round out and provide extensive knowledge on dog behavior, and how to handle dogs differently according to their needs.

BFDT: What is one weird, random, and/or fun thing about you that most people don't know (or wouldn't expect) about you?

Gabby: I enjoy a nice range day! We have the most fun when visiting family upstate and setting up targets around their eight acres of land.

BFDT: Last question...what do you like to do for fun?

Gabby: I am a summertime, salt-water-loving girl. If the sun's out, guns are out and you can find me on the GSB hanging out on my boat with my husband and our daughter. Our Belgian Malinois, Remo, will usually be somewhere swimming around with a toy in his mouth.
